Nasty Gal cut off denim shorts

Denim cut off shorts. Never worn, only tried on. Still has tags. These are so cute and I wish they fit, but I ordered the wrong size. I normally wear a US size 4 or UK 8 for reference. These say UK size 10 or US size 6, but I really don't think these are true to size based on the measurements. I think they would fit like a US 8 maybe?
