Native American Coins 1898 Indian Head & 1930 Buffalo Nickel + Sequoyah Stamp

This three-piece set celebrating a rich Native American history includes one 1898 Indian Head Penny, one 1930 Buffalo Nickel and one 19c Sequoyah United States postage stamp. Sequoyah was born around 1770 in Cherokee county in Tennessee. He spent 12 years developing the 86-character Cherokee syllabary. It was the only alphabet in the world created by one man- and was so perfect that no changes have ever been made. The stamp was issued December 27, 1980, in the Cherokee capital of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The set comes on an informative mount in a protective sleeve, along with a certificate of authenticity.
