missmika I think maybe I can see how you could have thought that those were air bubbles in the stone?? Those are inclusions that almost any Ruby will have to some degree. Also in the second picture do you see the variations of red and how the color is darker in the middle? I realize now that I do not have the carat weight posted for this beauty. She is large for a single Ruby, I believe a smidge over a carat. If this were a top grade Ruby it would sell in the thousands.

cmsweetbo @missmika my grandfather owned a jewelry store and my mom and dad have some pretty fake stones…. Some people on here show some tests results to show if it’s legit or not. Grandfather closed his jewelry store before I was born in 1969, so I do not know much about this stuff

missmika @cmsweetbo I did not know that you could buy a test for stones like that. I buy all of my gemstones from an antique/ jewelry auction and sometimes certain auction houses will have c.o.a.'s but I do not believe that they even handle imitation anything.

cmsweetbo It’s called gemstone or diamond tester. I never had or used one, but seen them on other sites
