Naughty Cottage Core dress sz M made from antique flour sacks

OK People, I'm calling this a Naughty Cottage Core dress. it's a vintage handmade Vogue pattern size 14, which is the equivalent of a modern size Medium. The pattern was drafted for someone with a 36" bust. There are all sorts of strategically placed pleats and gathers that make this dress come alive on a feminine figure. The shirt tail hem is so cute and looks great styled with cowboy boots! It has a rockabilly vibe not only from the cut of the dress but also to the retro cactus print on the fabric. Which brings us to the best part of this little number: the fabric!!!! The material is literally old flour sacks from the 1930's. Even though the fabric is almost 100 years old, it's still sturdy and bright... and stands up to machine washes like a champ. Things were made a lot better back then. Animal feed used to come in patterned sacks, knowing that farm wives used the sacks to sew her family's clothing. White feed sacks were used for underwear, and the printed kind like this was coveted for making dresses, aprons, and curtains. You can't get more Cottage Core than this! Naughty Cottage Core due to the deep V neckline that doesn't accommodate any bra on earth!
