Necklace Chain Link Carved Elephants on Shell Glass Beads Brass Charms

This is a vintage necklace that is a nice heavy silver single link chain. It is unique because that is not seen often in this size. I do not know exactly what metal it is. I'm guessing if it were sterling or silver it would be more tarnished. I also do not know for sure the material that the elephants are carved on. I only know it is not bone. I would guess shell not ivory. It is more pliable like ivory would be than shell. I know it came from California from the cultural shops there decades ago.
