My 89 yr Mother Nell her health is failing.! She has slow onset dementia from kidney disease. Sheโs not doing well - barely eating & is so weak she can not get up. This may be her time but sheโs come back before so ya never know. She deserves some peace tho! I pray peace over her & thank you for your prayers!
My brother takes cares of her 24/7 Many of you know her story & how she far has beaten multi infections bc of CDK. sheโs had so many infections in last 11 years. 7 sepsis ( 2 E. coli. Others unk). Sheโs is a fighter. it takes her memory tho. When I moved to VA last year ๐ข it was very hard to leave her behind.
๐๐ผPlease Pray for her & my brother her caregiver
๐๐ผMy son needs prayers too - teenage years are often hard โstruggles w faith . He was so hurt when she didnโt know him last year.

@barbmcooper Tu Barb! My boy lost both grandpa's in the past 1.5 yrs so it's been hardest 4 him tho hubby is hurting too. It was so sudden & in his sleep too. The hardest part of life is knowig this will continue w all our loved ones & pray we will see them again! I plan on it! 2day is my mothers 86th bday! Take care ๐ป๐ป๐ป๐น

Iโm not sure if she can pull this one off (this is 2nd E. coli but sheโs had 5 sepsis she beat. Sheโs been very tough b4). The antibiotics damage the kidney & she has kidney disease w low function. Either way damage is caused. So we are hoping but she might not Pull this one bc its resistant strain.๐ข Tu 4 prayers I KNOW they can help ๐๐ผโค๏ธ๐๐ผโค๏ธ

@grace4d Yes, I went through the same things with my Mom for about 7 years. Itโs rough, and Covid makes it all worse. I had my moms POA also, and my brother fought me for it. It was so traumatic. Just hang in there. Hugs. ๐ค

She has another infection (urine color) but we donโt know what bacteria yet bc the Drs (arenโt available) wonโt take a sample until tomorrow & she canโt even walk & sheโs very confused. They wonโt do admit orders bc of covid, adamantly saying no on Friday. She was doing fairly well on Thursday & now not so good. Thatโs how fast it happens. Iโm worried but I know the Lord has her in his hands. Love u & Tu 4 prayers ๐๐ผ

@tonistwinkles this is my moms 8th year fighting infection after infection that steals pieces of her. She just had Drug resistant E. coli in Feb & advanced meds damaged kidney further to 19% function. She definitely has another infection we just do not know what it is yet! Dr says no to admit to hospital! So we are trying to get the cultures. I feel this may be her last fight. Sheโs so weak & confused... Iโm as prepared as I can be.thank u! ๐๐ผ

Itโs hard to watch her go thru yet another infection.. sheโs had so many in the last 8 years..her kidneys are low function thus sheโs high risk. They donโt want her at the hospital. Sheโs at home now & we are hoping to get the correct antibiotics soon. In February she had resistant e. Coli so its likely that. Itโs all very scary.. and they wonโt let me In the ER or hospital either so Iโd rather have her home. I just keep praying Gods will! ๐ป๐ป๐ป๐

@grace4d Thatโs sad & I took care of my Mother also & itโs hard on the caregiver as well. I wound up sick myself from being overworked trying to work a full time job & manage her care as well. @_theboutique_ A nightmare trying 2 get her care. 3 ER visits, waiting 4 culture 2 see what bacteria it is. they wonโt admit her bc of covid but will hydrate her ER & send her home. Sheโs so confused & I am healthcare POA I know her history & know infection has spread based on how she acts. she hallucinates & doesnโt know us. they wonโt let me go in w/her even tho she canโt make her own decisions. @ses54 thank u Sherry. Fortunately my brother lives with her so we take turns & it helps! tho heโs more stressed than I am bc heโs there more. Sheโs so confused which tells me her infection has spread. We wait on cultureโs should be in today so we know what bacteria it is.. 3 days of torture!

My sister and I care for my mom - she was getting infections every few months - finally a nurse in the ER told us that different drugs had less potency in certain communities (so her infection would never completely go away) they had to change the meds. Just a thought - if you havenโt already thought of it - but sounds like you have it all down! Sending hugs and prayers for you all!

@_theboutique_ Tu! Yes, we are almost experts ๐ sheโs had so many infections w different causes & most turned into sepsis - damaging her kidneys (she has chronic kidney disease). The last one in February was drug resistant E. coli. It could be that again. We were used to them taking very good care of her โ to being denied care bc of fearof covid. I told them if you do nothing it will kill her & if u admit thereโs only 1 person in our hospital w covid so Iโm sure sheโd be ok but

@carolescreation sheโs still with us. ๐ we are still waiting on cultures so we can use the correct antibiotics. Sheโs been to the ER 3 times nearly unconscious and they sent her home and wouldnโt let me in even with the healthcare POA. Scary. She had no idea why she was there.. But she felt a bit better today after hydration at Drs office. Tomorrow I hope to have antibiotics to help her fight this infection. Prayers help! Thank u sweet friend!๐ป๐ป๐ปโค๏ธ

@flutter_buys there is pain & why Iโm pushing 4 hospice but when she sleeps sheโs not in pain! I donโt know if she thinks sheโs in pain? I am struggling Some. I lost my dad age 32 & fell apart. My step dad 3 yrs ago & did ok bc of his faith! My mother is stronger in the Lord & ready -a bit different. Still my mother is precious as I know urs was too. They are walking w Jesus! @mcjayne is drought in NM too. I water & lost 2 fruit trees. We had rain recently but it isnโt enough! Yes come on over to Virginia! Iโd love to have you closer instead of farther! We are looking for land w home.. itโs very green & humid there & there bugs are big as Texas! 4 seasons is nice tho! My mother wonโt come with me saying this is her home, ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ miss you! @house_of_tara a thank you! I havenโt updated this one - she passed a year ago this past Christmas somehow it feels just like yesterday. I miss her so much. After she passed many of my friends just pulled away- instead of support all I received was silence. Iโm coming to terms with that but donโt think Iโll ever not look for her in texting or calls or just holding her hand as she slept.. ttys lovely Tara๐ปโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ
