@bela9 thank you for your interest. They are a typical stretch denim cotton fabric. I am not sure if they are soft. They do have a slight stretch to them.

@bela9 I think they are designed to be worn on the hip. The cut is long and lean but the slight stretch may allow for curves. I hesitate to comment on acceptable weight. Possibly under 135lbs
