I tried this dress on in January of 2021 at the Atlanta store and chose to order it for a fall wedding! My husband is from France and due to covid delays, our wedding was in December 2022 (just short of two years from buying the dress). When I tried it on, it no longer fit in the hip! This dress is so gorgeous, despite trying a few other styles, I chose to reorder in a size 6 and have the top taken in. The four has been in the protective bag, in the original box, never worn (only tried on a handful of times), not altered or taken in, it's in perfect condition (despite not having the tag as I meant to keep and wear it), and all edges on the bottom and train are perfectly pristine and clean like the day it arrived!
Again, this dress is gorgeous and so unique. I hate I had to reorder, but it’s seriously beautiful and completely sold out now!

@denaehollar22 Great question! I bought the dress wearing size 6's at American Eagle, which measures as 27.5" in the waist and 37" in the hip. The dress fit really well in the top, and in the high waist, but was too fitted in the low waist, hip. Part of this was my height: being short, part of the waist section was on my hip. I could have altered the dress in the middle to shorten the torso so the hip fell at the hip, but being complicated, I chose to size up

@denaehollar22 I also had gained some in my hips to where I was measuring more like 39" in the hips. I hope that's helpful. If you are wearing sizes comparable to a size 4-6 in AE jeans, and are taller than 5.2, You will likely find that a size 4 is a perfect match. If you are shorter and wearing a size 6, it will be snug, and if between sizes, you'll likely feel more comfortable in a size 6 taken in the waist and top, but comfy in the hips!

@denaehollar22 but in all honesty, if you have any concern that the dress will be too tight, I'd recommend sizing up and having it altered down, but having a dress too fitted to where you feel stressed or worries about your weight/shape/size, since the dress- not your weight- is the issue :)
