thefjordsandi @momoretro do you know what the easiest way to direct share is? I find myself needing to keep canceling & re-looking at peoples user names so I get it correct & it takes forever. The only thing I can think to do would be write them all down before I click comment. Also when I see huge group shares, has that person individually typed each and every name to do so? If u or anyone knows I’d sure like to know ; )

thefjordsandi @momoretro also, I was wondering if u use Twitter, Instagram or what have you... I’ve never once used any of those things. The only social media I’ve got and shared to is Facebook. I’m curious to know if people find its actually increased sales to use these things. If so, I may break down and finally try one.

momoretro @thefjordsandi I’ve used Pinterest for years for patterns etc so I have shared posh stuff there. Poshmark says that instagram and Pinterest increase sales. I recently tried Instagram just for Poshmark purposes. Have noticed nothing but again I have a small closet. @matana Matana any advice about social media? Thanks

miswise @momoretro @thefjordsandi No worries! It's all good discussion. I've shared items from my closet to Pinterest. I don't know if that led to sales, but I have noticed those items have been pinned or re-pinned by other people, so it does seem to be giving my closet some exposure.

miswise @thefjordsandi In answer to your first question about an easy way to direct share, what I do is screenshot the closet name, then I can toggle between my photos app and my Posh app to double check the name while I'm typing it. Then after the first share, that closet name automatically appears on the direct share screen so you can just pick it to keep on sharing. 😊

miswise @becky92356 We all have to start somewhere! Practice on me...I sent you a styling request, which should make it easier. Pick an item in your closet, then tap the share arrows. When the next window pops up, you should see my picture as one of the options to share to. There are a couple images on this group listing that help to explain how to do it as well. 😊

miswise @becky92356 No need to go to the dressing room. You share to me from each item's listing. Just like you would share an item to your followers, but instead of picking "share to my followers" you pick an individual person from the row of pictures below. My picture should be there automatically since I requested styling.

becky92356 @miswise he sent me his telephone number and told me to text him what was the lowest price, etc, that I would take on a ring and necklace. Said he would be sending me a cashiers check, and it would be a win-win scenario. I kept questioning him, and he would never answer any of my questions. So I ignored him, and he kept sending me text every couple of minutes, saying "Hello", Hello, Hi, Hello. Then he sent me the exact same text again that he started out with.

miswise @becky92356 Oh I'm glad you told him to get lost! Those guys are con artists trying to commit check fraud. Anytime someone wants to take a transaction off Poshmark, report their comment and Posh will remove it from your listing. You can also block the user. Here's an article on the scam: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0159-fake-checks. Read the section "Fake Checks: Variations on a Scheme"

pebbles3sandi @miswise I actually have a phishing post in my listings if anyone needs it to share. I had a lot of problems with people wanting off site purchases when I started. I always report and block. Since I shared my phishing post a few times the scammers have left me alone lol

pebbles3sandi @becky92356 I wouldn't say business as usual at all. Once I shared my no phishing post they left me alone. Just report the and block each user that tries to get you to complete the transactions off Poshmark. Eventually they will realize your aren't going to cave in and they will leave you alone.

miswise @fadhionlover Hi! It helped me once I achieved top 10% sharer. I saw a healthy boost in likes and sales. It's also been great for meeting fellow Poshers. Totally agree it's an investment of time with everything on this app. It's really quite clever on Posh's part, as the more I'm on the app, the more things I find that I want to buy. 😂

Already started my shares and I realize I'm forgetting the last step. If they get 10 direct shares, they should know to share back right? Or do I go back and request styling?

fadhionlover Fyi, I find it easier to click on likes. Then 1 by 1. Click on name, then hanger, my closet,share from my closet. This puts the person as the 1st circle to share to. I also read their style card so that I cam share items that for them. Hope this helps. Hope I'm doing it right😂🤣😂

miswise @sammypants Hi! So if you look on your "My Posh Stats" page at the bottom section, called "Posh Stylist Analysis," you'll see several metrics being tracked. The theory is that being in the top 10% for these stats boosts your visibility to shoppers, meaning your items will show up in the feed more often. Direct shares is one of those metrics. miswise @iagirl1970 you can find it by clicking on the hangers to get to their dressing room, then at the top center where it says Dressing Room, click there to trigger a drop down menu. That will enable you to select to share from your closet. Then look at the bottom of the screen and there will be a link to their style card. However, sharing stuff in their size is optional. 😊

miswise @ambertrisann It might be because you have items from our closets in your dressing room already. You have to clear out items we've already shared to you by skipping them have the option to send a styling request.

miswise @rtsymom Correct, you can share 10 each to all 40 who liked the listing. It can be the same 10 items. There is no deadline and it's probably personal preference on best time of day to share. My guess would be evening since folks may not want to get a bunch of notifications while they're at work. After you DS everything you can remain a member of the group and new members will share to you when they join and you can share back to them. I hope that helps!

rtsymom @miswise @hastough @dressinglauren @ambertrisann I recommend not skipping items sent to your DS queue. If you do that, the person can never DS that item to you again. I’ve played similar DS games and have found out that the hard way. 😉 (Those of us with smaller closets sometimes want to DS the same item again later.). I always click add to bundle then delete bundled items. I’ve found no other way to clear queue out. If you guys know of another way, please share. Happy Poshing! 😊💖

tannyaustin @miswise one of the members accepted my offer. It wasn't until after I saw you explain to just share. I'd played counter offering in other games and assumed, my very costly mistake, that is how it's always done.

dressinglauren @houndstooth I like to add them to a bundle, which also automatically 'likes' them. Then as I share with my followers, I remove them from the bundle or unlike them. Don't know if you've ever played any of the lowball/counteroffer versions of this game, but I strongly recommend not doing that here with anyone you don't trust. A posher playing this game accepted a lowball offer & wouldn't cancel!

miswise @followme73 Welcome to the group! Bundling and sharing are optional steps. Some people just skip the items shared to their closert. The drawback to that method is once the item has been skipped, the listing can't be direct shared to that user again. It's a good feature for normal shoppers, but not so great if you want to DS with a member of this group more than once (which some members are open to - they have indicated that in the comments above).

houndstooth Hi everyone! I am having crazy problems with the Posh app. One is that I no longer have the option to request styling / DS from closets. I don’t want to DS to any of you without being able to let you know I want you to DS back to me. Please DS listings to me if you are okay without me being able to request styling from you. In other words, if I DS to you, you’ll know I want you to DS back to me. (I hope that makes sense) 😂😂😂
