emeraldizz Hi ! No question is stupid...I ask a dozen all the time lol. No buttons. It slips over you and the waist is elastic and adjusts to your waist. You then tie the sash how you like. Not for nothing, buts really very pretty in person & you can wear it to the office or to go dinner or even a more formal occasion.
