Have the jeans been altered or do they have the original 34.5 inch inseam?
theshoesarenew
@annama2 Hi! Yes, the inseams have been cut a little shorter. I checked the brand website, and the original inseams were 33.5”. These have been cut to 32” and they have a raw hem. I’ve updated the listing with all the measurements.

@theshoesarenew ok, thank you.
carmellablu
Hi, did you take them in or just cut the hem?
carmellablu
and did you change it from boot cut to straight leg? or were they just made shorter??
theshoesarenew
@carmellablu hi! They weren’t taken in, just cut shorter. Whenever you hem or cut flared jeans, the widest part always gets cut off. These also have the appearance of being more straight because they’re missing the original bottom hems, which added a tiny bit of extra width. The jeans measure 8.25” at the knee and 9” at the leg opening, so they still have a slight flare. Hope this helps!
carmellablu
ok. thanks so much.

Can you or someone model them so i can see how different the bottom hemmed part looks? You just have to take a photo from the waist down. This way we can see how they look from how Nili designed them. Thanks!
theshoesarenew
@carmellablu yes, I can add a photo later today! I’ll tag you when it’s added. I just wanted to add that even on the nili website it says “Designed for a longer inseam—tailor for a personalized fit.” So they’re designed knowing many people will have to get them hemmed. You can take them to the tailor to fold and stitch the bottom hems. They’ll just look a lot “cleaner” since they won’t have the original hem,.

@carmellablu hi! So sorry it took this long but I finally had some time today while the light was good to take a photo. I’m only 5’2” and had to wear 4.75 inch heels so please keep that in mind. Hopefully this helps a little.

@theshoesarenew ok thanks!

@carmellablu oooooook I just figured something out. You’re right, even though they’re cut slightly shorter, they look straighter than they should. It seems like the previous owner took them in at the sides, to make them less flared. I only realized this just now when examining the inside seams. This is making a lot more sense now.
theshoesarenew
@carmellablu Unfortunately the original seam has been removed, so it’s not as simply as unstitching the new seam to get them back to their previous flared width. I’ll update the listing and lower the price accordingly.
