Since then she's created the kind of cult pieces women look to collect rather than rock for a season at a time—think slinky slip dresses and oversized cashmere sweaters. Most recently, Lotan got into the denim market. "The core fit and silhouette of my new denim collection was actually inspired by the very first pieces I designed when I first launched my label as 'non-jean-jeans,'" Lotan explains, "The purpose then was to create a casual sexy pant that has all of the elements of a jean, but not in actual denim. Coming full circle 10 years later, I felt that I accomplished creating a comprehensive wardrobe for today's woman. The only thing missing was the denim. And while you won't find a standard five-pocket jean here, you will find my original five fits, and totally new silhouettes, now in denim."
