Nippon Hand Painted Teapot, Coffee or Chocolate Pot - Made in Japan

This gorgeous hand painted, beautiful scene. It is in very good condition. See pictures for a closeup of any imperfections, but almost impossible to see. I had to examine it with a magnifying glass to find any flaws. Some of the gold trim has worn off in places too. But the main painting is exquisite. This would be a lovely addition for someone’s collection. Measurements: 8 1/2" tall with lid X 7" tall without lid X 3 1/2" mouth wide X 4 1/4" bottom Lid by it's self: is 2 1/2" tall X 3 1/2" Here is what I found about the Nippon mark: Most pieces marked with the name of a country were made after 1891, when the McKinley Tariff Act was passed. Pieces from Japan were marked “Nippon,” the transliteration of the Japanese word for Japan. After 1915 the words “Made in…” were usually added. Beginning in 1921, U.S. Customs required country names to be in English, and the word “Japan” was used instead of “Nippon.”
