gearheadgirl50 how do u know it's Dutch.just curious. I started collecting teacups and saucers after I went to a tea party with my daughter and girl scouts I'm in a really bad divorce in custody battle for two and a half years now she's probably not into teacups anymore but I still like them I just can't purchase any right now. you have a great closet

omahowe @gearheadgirl50 hello Jackie, thanks for your inquiry. The research is the best part our our finds. I've looked up the the name on the bottom and that was part of the discovery. As you may know, the shape is what makes this cup a tea cup versus a coffee cup. Best of luck to you. Caroline

gearheadgirl50 @omahowe actually here's what I found when I looked up norcrest history.. Norcrest Fine China was founded in 1958 in Portland, Oregon by Japanese-American businessman Bill Naito, whose father Hide, established a gift shop there in 1921 that sold porcelain wares and other trinkets.Dec 12, 2013

gearheadgirl50 @omahowe Most items were made for Norcrest in Japan, shipped over to the US, and then Norcrest put their foil label on them. The business was incorporated in 1958 as the Norcrest China Company. Through the years they expanded, opening other companies.

omahowe @silvermoonstars hello Laura, I wrap all my item in multiple layers of bubble wrap with a cushion of newsprint. also I use a larger box, so I can cushion it really well. I e learned from my past mistakes. Caroline
