It was to help signify their lifelong commitment to fishing, and to the club. If you don't already know NAFC (North American Fishing Club) has a sordid and shady history. NAFC was owned by Pilot Group, a private equity firm run by Robert W. Pittman. In 2013 they acquired scout.com and combined several entities (including NAFC) to form Scout Media. Scout Media ultimately lost control to Russian investors. The company was later purchased by CBS Sports Digital in 2017 for 9.5 Million dollars. Since then, hundreds of thousands of members have been hung out to dry, with little to no explanation. I just thought the history was fascinating. Own this piece of Americana today.
