First appearing in 1910, the "Three Fruits" pattern names refers to the pears, cherries, apples found on this plate, circling a group of three cherries showcased in the center. There is also a variety of foliage.
The base color here is amethyst, and there is the signature iridescence of carnival glass throughout. This particular plate is unstippled.
The lovely "basketweave" pattern is found on the underside of this bowl.
There is also a sawtooth edged rim.
Northwood's mark, the "N" underlined in and inside of a circle, is embossed on the bottom. A pontil scar is also visible on bottom
Plate is 9" wide with a 3.25" wide base
Please carefully view photos for condition- there is some surface wear, especially on the higher parts of fruits, as is common for these pieces.
