Norwegian Hand Knit Sweater / Norwegian Wool with Reindeer and Snowflake - XL

Hand Knit Norwegian Sweater in all over motif of reindeer and snowflakes. 100% wool from Norwegian Sheep that is natural colored ( no dyes used) from gray and natural white sheep. Cardigan Style with 9 big handmade pewter buttons featuring Reindeer - A magnificent job of Fair Isle Stranded Knitting . Sweater is double thickness with the strands of yarn used to make the motifs against the background color being drawn across the back of the work. This technique creates an insulated sweater that is amazingly soft and warm. This sweater was knitted by an expert Norwegian hand knitter in the 1940s. Sourced in Norway it was tucked away barely used if at all and is in excellent condition. I find no flaws. And I am amazed at the technical proficiency of the knitting. Every stitch is perfectly executed. This sweater does not have ribbing at the bottom. Instead it has a knitted into the design hem which creates a folded over and stitched down border along the bottom.that makes the sweater hang really well. This is beautiful example of Norwegian Knitting! Made to last! Flat Measurements: Chest is 23" wide x 2 = 46" circumference Length of sweater down center back is 27.5" Sleeves are 22" long from underarm to cuff Edge. Made as a man's size L to XL it can also be worn by a woman. as an over sized coat with the sleeves pushed up. I've tried this and it gave a cool Street Style Look,. I will try to add photos.
