mia_bellavita @shari23114 Ciao Shari! Had a great time in Italy. The main areas we spent time in was Rome, Florence, Sienna, Milan, and Lake Como. It's so hard to pick my favorite place, because I loved all of them, and each area had it's own ambiance and charm. Rome was great, we stayed in a great boutique hotel (Hotel Romano!) right in the middle of everything. We rented a car and drove up to Sienna, where we stayed in a farmhouse in the tuscan countryside. It was an amazing experience.

mia_bellavita @shari23114 We stayed there a few days and then drove up to Florence, which was amazing, and stayed in a different farm house in the country. I took thousands of photos! Are you on facebook? I'm going to go through and pick the highlights and post them. We spent a day just driving through Tuscany and checking out the charming towns, castles, and also stopped at Pisa, which was pretty cool. We then drove up to Milan where I could have sipped on cappuccino and watched the people all day!

mia_bellavita @shari23114 Last day we spent on lake Como and I fell in love with Bellagio and the entire lake community. That's about it, it was FABULOUS! I really missed my dogs though! Also my boys, but mostly my dogs. HAHA. Probably my most favorite place would be Calcata, which is just north of Rome. It is a hippy town full of artists that is built into a mountain that has an incredible story. Very cool! I guess that's it in a nutshell! American Coffee sucks now.

shari23114 @khromano How wonderful! Did you totally love the people, culture architecture too. And the food is to die for. Did you get to experience a Mozerello cheese sandwich? Omg nothing like in this country. It sounds as if you had a great time! Did you fall in love again with your husband? Would you ever want to go back?

shari23114 @khromano Did you get to go into the Vatican and see the decadence and the awesome small Cistine chapel? Now that Michelangelo at his best. Do you know that it was demanded of Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel for free just because it was the Pope who commanded him. That religion was and still is very strong. Am I confusing you now hon?

mia_bellavita @shari23114 We didn't do the Vatican this time. I've been there before. Yes, it is quite beautiful. The food was incredible. Fortunately we didn't gain weight because we were walking about 7-10 miles per day. We are definitely going back, probably going to do southern Italy next time. My husband's company is based in Italy, so it would be very easy for us to move there in a few years. :) Ciao!
