@briannaprest136 I’m sorry I don’t know what “Samber” means unless that’s a mashup word in reference to the “amber” eye color that differentiates the original production runs of Samantha from newer counterparts . If so, then by default that would have to be a yes since she is from 1986.

I can tell you that my dolls eyes are what makes her far more beautiful than all the Samantha dolls that came after her. In my personal opinion:). It’s one of her biggest (if not THE biggest selling points and reasons this versions value is so much higher than any other .

@briannaprest136 ok so I just looked up a side by side comparison and it’s such a huge difference more than I ever even realized. Without QUESTION, mine is the Amber eye OG. I mean I knew that already but the photo comparison is really NO comparison. Lots of differences actually. She just got uglier and uglier with each passing version :/. Mattel ruined the brand and took away everything that made it special.

@amadariaga not really... the eyes are called "sleepy eyes", meaning they shut on their own when the doll is laid down or tilted,. this is one of the first things to look for (working or not) when buying PC/PM American girl dolls.

@beautifulusa oh ok yes. I see . Although she just asked to see them closed. She never mentioned anything about whether they do it on their own when laying her down . I would think that’s a far more important question actually. Now that I know that’s not a universal thing .. and yes I do have that book.

@amadariaga & I bought a pair of Manolo's listed used but they look NIB‼️& I planned on running around in them but now I don't want to "ruin" them either, so I figured I should just get shoes that have been "broken in" cuz I'm to chicken to do it myself! 😂 I found 2 pairs of same Manolo's listed on here by for $475-$485!! & these actually have visible wear! if my feet were ½ a size bigger or smaller I would've paid that instead of $60‼️🙏🏼
