OUTSTANDING 1940s' BLACK FELT WIDE BRIM FEDORA EDGED IN BROWN FUR

What a showstopper hat from the 1940s'. This fedora is made of black felt. The crown is in a conical shape, and is surrounded by a wide brim edged in brown fur. The brim is shaped so it covers one eye.There is a felt bow at the center front, with a fur pompom at the center. The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
