Over time, the leather will lighten again. I included a photo showing a Glory to Ukraine yellow leather sample that was conditioned last year, so you can see how the color might change. I just conditioned the bag. It looks like a very nice light caramel color to me. The bag does have some light scratches and marks on it. There is some darkening on the bottom and corners. You may use this with or without the strap. The integrated grab handle is very convenient.
