1 Page/2 Sides from a Salvaged August 1944 Woman’s Day Magazine, Jewel Shortening Ad plus Book Excerpts, New Orleans Dressing Recipes
It is an original page and not a reproduction.
Side (1) is an advertisement for Jewel Shortening. "Let Jewel make everything for you!"
Side (2) shows a column called "From the New Books" and shares quotes from: How to Think About War and Peace, The Literary Fallacy, Wait for Mrs. Willard, Mom Counted Six, and The Pacific is My Beat. There is also a one column advertisement for Wesson Oil, which gives the recipe for Basic New Orleans Dressing
Approximate Dimensions:
Page: 11 inches x 8 3/8 inches
Please note that the 8 3/8 inches is the widest spot on the width. The most narrow is about 8 inches. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!
Please remember that the page(s) is from a very old salvaged book. While most pages are without flaw, there may be a spot or folded corner. I have tried my best to note any flaws, but I am only human. There are no noted flaws unless listed below. Please look at the photos carefully.
THERE ARE NO NOTED STAINS OR TEARS. JUST LOTS OF SEPIA AND WORN EDGES. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
The page’s inside edge is not “factory” cut. It is a rough edge where the page was released from the magazine. It may or may not interfere with what’s on the page. Sometimes it will even add to the vintage appeal! (PLEASE see photos.)
The page is placed in a protective clear poly envelope and will be shipped in a rigid photo/document mailer.
