My jaw just hit the floor. This is such a beautiful ring, and such high quality. Unfortunately there are a lot of fakes on here. Wish I could afford it. Beautiful design!

@kmcrum229 thank you!

Is the alexandrite natural or lab-created? What is the color-change?
remaindersinc
@marmar0623 hi! I have the appraisal which I'll try to post a picture of in a minute. It does not specify whether it's lab created or natural, it based on the characteristics (lots of green which can't be emulated by a lab stone) and the appraisal price, we believe it's a natural stone. If you Google how to tell the difference ours has all the characteristics of a natural stone!

@marmar0623 ok, so I posted two new pictures, one of the appraisal and one of the Google search.
Our alexandrite is a deep sage green indoors and changes to blue-green and purple under light as you rotate it. Under UV light it glows a deep purplish pink.

@marmar0623 and, we were not able to capture the green color on film. It's that sensitive :)

If it is sent to the poshmark headquarters and they can not authenticate it as a natural stone, would that be a refund?
remaindersinc
@tjmaxxedout as mentioned above, I can not authenticate the stone as natural, only as it reads in the appraisal, as shown. I have discounted it by almost 50% because it is not specified in the appraisal whether it is lab created or natural. either way it is worth at least the asking price. it is up to you to decide if it's worth it to you or not. no refunds

Ok, a lab-created alexandrite runs about $200 a carat in trade, so you might want to put it under a microscope and look for the feathery marks of being lab created.

@tjmaxxedout thank you
