How warm is this jacket

It has thick loft of polyester fill, very warm. It is not a "lightweight packable down" coat, it is more of a conventional puffer parka. It is also extra long, which adds to it's warmth. Probably not "Antartic/sled dog warm", LOL, but if you are in the U.S. it should be sufficiently warm.

Does the zipper reverse

It is not a reverse zipper. It does have two zipper pulls. It can be zipped from the top down, and zipped from the bottom up.
