Original vintage Erda handbag

The pride of my vintage collection, this never-used brown deerskin Erda handbag measures 15" wide and 10" high, can be carried as shoulder or cross-body. Two interior pockets and two pockets in back add to the carrying and organizing capacity. (Erda, of course, created designer leather and fabric handbags from its shop in a cornfield in Maine -- some legends have it in an alfalfa field -- owned and operated by women, from 1971 until the mid-1980s.) Included are two documents, one showing its former price ($250) the last time it was for sale in a store, this one in New Mexico. The stones, beads and metal decorations are intact and the deerskin is blemish-free.
