kolbyerickson Does this come with all the pieces including all 3 sock sizes? Everything still works?

phdvond @kolbyerickson yes, it comes with everything that I bought it with and three socks. It isn’t pictured, but the plug in attachment is included as well. Our baby just turned 1 so we are finished using it. A lot of peace of mind using it.

phdvond @kolbyerickson the unit worked perfectly fine when I had it. I used on my infant up until the day that I placed it on Poshmark; after that it was boxed back up appropriately and placed in my nightstand. I would have, A. Never sold a product to someone that I knew would not work and, B. Never allowed someone to use a monitoring device on their baby that I knew would not do just that.

kolbyerickson @phdvond well owlet is completely not supporting the smart sock 2 now because of the FDA. I can’t even register it or connect it to the app making it useless. This started before the sale at the beginning of August this year.

phdvond @kolbyerickson I did not know this. We used it until the 25th of July and then wanted to sell it so someone else might benefit from it. We had no issues with the app or the readings. I am not Poshmark savvy but let me know if everything is still in tact and working order and if Poshmark can unwind this sale and I will support that. I would like like the unit sent back to us if sale is reversed. Thank you.

kolbyerickson @phdvond okay thanks for being willing to work with me! I’m honestly so upset with owlet, idk how they could completely abandon a product like this it’s super frustrating. I made a claim with poshmark so we will see what they say. Thanks again!

phdvond @kolbyerickson right?! I agree. That is so bizarre. I would never want someone not to be able to use it. It gave us a ton of relief and peace of mind. It monitored really well and kept really good reading, so I am surprised to hear this has happened.

kolbyerickson @phdvond yeah it’s because the FDA went after them saying it’s a medical device and needs to be regulated. Apparently the new version isn’t as good also, so the whole situation is really crappy.

phdvond @kolbyerickson that is truly unfortunate. It is similar to what they use in the NICU on their feet to monitor heart and breathing rate. Our baby did hold her breath early one morning and the monitor went crazy. It is a shame they would take such a valuable resource off the market. Keep me posted, we will get it squared away. kolbyerickson @phdvond I know I’m a new mom due in January and I was so excited for them, I actually bought a second one on here to give to my MIL who’s going to watch our baby. I’ll still probably end up buying one of the newer modes because I’ve heard good things.
