Oyster Footed Jewelry Box, XXL Seahell Keepsake Box, Orange/Purple Tie-Dye Shell

Large decorative Oyster Trinket Box created with a natural whole Pacific Oyster. The outside shell is hand colored in orange, purple, and yellow in a tie-dye pattern. Inside, it is paper decoupaged with a purple chinoiserie paper and rimmed with Gold paint. This Oyster Shell Box can hold jewelry, trinkets, or precious keepsakes. Thanks to its stand, it will not topple over, even when filled with your little treasures. It will make a stylish functional ornament for your home, or a unique gift to mark a special occasion. The world is your Oyster! Characteristics… Together with its stricking coloring, distinctive shape, and generous size, this Oyster Shell Box rather packs a punch :) The bottom cup is about 7 1/2" long, 3" wide, and 3/4" at the deepest point. The lid is wavy. Altogether, the shell box stands about 2 3/4" tall (lid knob included). Process… The empty shell was scrubbed, sanitized, and colored to highlight its unique features. Paper decoupage was then applied inside, and the shell rim was hand painted in gold. A faux pearl lid knob and a plastic stand were glued in place next, before sealing the shell inside and out with 3 coats of acrylic varnish for top protection and a beautiful luster. Photos were taken in natural light. Care… You may wipe it clean with a dry or damp cloth. **It is not suitable for wet foods or young children.
