This is an educational post because I’m really sick and tired of seeing so many sellers pass off dollar store dishes at $$$ prices. I cannot believe how many sellers I see here on Poshmark trying to sell sets of four dishes for $40-$60.... This is absolute robbery. I understand that we are all trying to run businesses here but let’s be fair and not gouge people. My second concern is the safety of dollar store dishes if you don’t know what you’re buying! Please read my post above. Thanks all.

inspirejoy Ugh, I totally agree with you! Thank you so much for this post! I was shopping for candles just recently and found one on here that looked like what I was looking for, but the cover photo showed a candle w/ a flaw on the wrapper which made me suspicious. I was browsing the dollar tree site later on and found, you guessed it, those candles! The seller I found here was trying to pass them off as a bargain and listed MSRP as $18!😩

underonesun @inspirejoy yep, it’s really disappointing and I see it at the time. Now I know everyone’s trying to make money, and I thrift and resell often. But that’s the time spent out of my day, finding items buying them,, cleaning them, posting and listing , etc. When I see items from dollar tree on here , like Christmas mugs for $24 each - it makes me absolutely bonkers.

underonesun @inspirejoy like people knowingly spend $1 on an item and think they can make a quick $20 flip. Its sad , and when half of these products are made over seas with only God knows what kind of materials- it makes me even more mad! People treat the royal Norfolk brand like its come from crate and barrel. 🤦‍♀️

underonesun @inspirejoy aaaaand if you are looking for awesome candles, you should check out the jax kelly candle website. Her crystal candles are divine, burn evenly , and for like 50 hours each ... I just got the email from them this morning that her entire inventory is 30-50% off. Worth looking at!

inspirejoy @underonesun I completely agree! I resell as well, but like you I put alot of time into it, and if I can't list it at a fair price and still make a profit, I just won't list it at all. I want ppl to know thry are getting quality items! My rule is i never sell something I would wear/use at a price I wouldn't pay myself. I will definitely check out those candles, thanks so much! I ordered some from a larger retailer that got lost in the mail so I will def be checking them out!
