I am listing this because it is, hands-down, the best feeder I have ever used and I have purchased and tried many kinds and brands. -There is a well on top where you pour a little water to keep ants away (also thoroughly rinsing the outside of sugar water after you fill with food helps tremendously :) -The clear glass helps you see food level and if cloudy you change it no matter how much left. The reason I like the smaller 16 oz. one and only fill it half way and clean/change food frequently. -The design keeps bees away. We love our pollinating bees but not on our feeders or too close to our homes. -Very easy to clean! I wash by hand but every so often put on top rack of dishwasher. A teeny brush or toothpick can get into and clean those holes out well. You DO NOT want mold building which harms the hummies. -Lastly, I make my own food. Finely granulated white table sugar. In this case DO NOT use organic or unprocessed - better for humans but bad for the hummies! 1 cup (8 oz) of bottled spring water heated (to melt sugar) or tap water to a rolling boil to kill germs. Add 1/4 cup (dry) of white table sugar. 4:1 ratio - Let cool and if stored in frig instead lasts up to 4 days. Easy peasy and they love it since this recipe is closest to real nectar.
