PERSIAN LAMB JACKET WITH SABLE TRIM. Vintage s 1960’s TRUE PERSIAN LAMB. This style coat turns up frequently in vintage shops, but they are usually faux or of inferior quality. This coat is EXCEPTIONAL IN THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION.You can immediately tell the quality as the pelt remains supple and flexible,even after 60 years. The fur is only slightly raised, not fully curled. Lesser quality jackets are stiff and very heavy. This coat is lightweight and flexible.Sable is only the very finest fur. Sable on collar and cuffs is dense,shiny and glossy. Inside seams where pure silk lining meets the fur is bound in silk braid trim. This coat was treasured and cared for. Fur and lining is a rich black. Sable is a deep espresso brown with auburn tones. Shape is modified trapeze shape with large fur and silk button at the throat and 2 hidden hook and eye clasps covered in crocheted thread. NOTE:sleeves are BRACELET LENGTH, meant to show off long gloves and jewelry.
