PEdALED Ventile jacket (M)

coming from the early days of No Man Walks Alone stock, this made in Japan Ventile jacket is one of the greatest pieces I have/had. The Ventile is a super cool material for wearing on a bike in the rain and almost every detail on this jacket is made to support that purpose: an oversized hood that can fit over a helmet, articulated elbows to match your riding position, big pockets with grommets on the eyelets to let water out, a patch pocket on the elongated rear panel's lower back for a bike lock or whatever, a double zipper to help adjust the fit when hunched over, cinches at waist and hood, reflective branded patch on the rear. Really, it sucks that my delusional self bought it when I was biking a lot and when I started to have less time for that, I started to not be so waifish and I outgrew this. I wore this attractively two toned jacket a LOT: countless work commutes, leisure rides, grocery runs, hell, I even got egged by neighborhood teens when doing a Halloween alleycat. As a result, you can see evidence of its life in the pictures: some right around the collar, some discoloration on the zipper patch pocket on the chest and visible aging where the seams have puckered after washes. Luckily, Ventile doesn't fail the way other shell materials do, so despite this being pre eco Ventile and therefore probably has lost some of its DWR, it's still a great jacket with a lot of life. Best for a standard medium who's dedicated to biking everywhere.
