Poshmark charges a commission on each sale made on its platform, which is either a flat fee or a percentage of the total sale price: • Flat fee: For sales under $15, Poshmark charges a flat fee of $2.95. • Percentage: For sales of $15 or more, Poshmark takes a 20% commission of the total sale price. For example: if I sell an item for $100, Poshmark takes $20. If it sells for $50, Poshmark takes $10. For a $5 sale, I only make $2.05. Personally, I did not know about this until I recently started selling myself. But it has taught me as a “buyer” to take this info into consideration when making offers or considering a seller’s offer. It’s unfair to lowball an offer or expect the seller to cut their price by too much because they are losing commission to Poshmark. Please understand the fact that we as sellers take the time to clean items, carefully photograph, gather information and list our items. Also, these items had to be bought at a price by us. Not to mention the shipping supplies and inside packaging, it all adds up over time. This should all be taken into consideration, as well as the item itself (of course!)
