Pair of 1950s Pereiras Valado ceramic two-arm candle holders hand-painted scenes

Thank you) Pair of mid-century 1950s Pereiras Valado sky blue and gold ceramic two arm candle holders adorned with charming hand-painted landscapes Ravishing pair of hand-painted mid-century two-arm candlestick holders from the well-known Pereiras Valado manufacture in Portugal. In a pale blue glaze that turns to white there, or to orange here, these candle holders are enhanced with embossed curvy lines and scrolls highlighted with brushstrokes of gold. Both sides of each candle holder features a medallion adorned with a hand-painted miniature landscape, a farmhouse by a lake, or greenery with a mountain and/or lake in the background. While these candleholders evoke the poetic and whimsical quality of tourist souvenirs from the 1950s, I was shocked, shooting them in front of my grand Louis XV mirror, to see the gold tones and curvy patterns of both objects echo each other so well and blend, though worlds apart... Inscribed under the base with "Pereiras Valado Made in Portugal" and numbered (number hand-painted in gold). Mint condition, as good as new.
