Pair of Mid-Century Hand Painted Porcelain Figurines Occupied Japan 5"

This listing is for a wonderful pair of porcelain figurines made in Occupied Japan and dating to the late 1940s. They are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks or damage and each measure approximately 5" tall. Wonderful detail and paint and are hallmarked “Occupied Japan” on the bottom as shown. This came from my grandparents who were stationed in Japan after the war, they were there from 1947 to 1952.
