Formula:SiO2
A variety of Quartz ASQ-066 14.6 grams 3 cm locality: Boekenhouthoek, Mpumalanga Province of South Africa
Amethyst and Citrine Quartz crystals encrusted by a second generation of smaller crystals with starburst Amethyst tips grown on the prism faces. The small second generation crystals point away from the prism and their orientation is not related to the crystallographic orientation of the central crystal. Often the tips of the first generation crystals remain free.
Also called spirit quartz or pineapple quartz.*

@fairyjaye also, I apologize for seeming to vanish there for a moment! I want to reiterate that I am extremely grateful for all that you did for me with getting other photos together and giving me extra details that I asked for etc. I hope I didn’t upset you. To get into what I was going through suddenly at the time would take up about 50 of these little squares and that would just cover about 1% lol but I just thought that I should say that as well
