This listing is for a packet of 20 papaya seeds. Papaya is a pretty amazing fruit, delicious and sweet, and it has many health benefits, some of which include grinding up the leaves into a powder! Papaya enzymes also are known to calm down the symptoms of IBS and aid in digestion, as well. Plus, it's a beautiful plant tree to grow. I've included a few extra seeds, in case germination isn't 100%. These come from my own collection. Any questions you have, please feel free to ask!

tetianna This may be a silly question but if i choose to store these seeds away for a few yrs (until i get my own garden) would they still be able to geminate?

foxphoric @tetianna Yes, you can store these for up to three years. Some people like to keep them in the fridge to keep them dormant, just in case. Although after three years, they not all will be viable and the chance of them growing will be slim.

foxphoric @englishmulberry :) Yes, on average three years is the longest they can be stored. Some like to keep them in the fridge if they intend to hold onto them longer, but you don't have to, as long as they're stored safely and away from humidity where they can rot or decay. Any longer than three years, and most will not be viable though, but I previously had a few make it longer.
