Paper Bag Waist Madewell Shorts

These shorts are lightweight linen material and a paper bag top style. I really struggled with what size to post them as... they say 31, but I wear a 6/28-29 and am able to tighten the bow to make up for how loose they are with just the button. It leaves a gap at my higher waist but it works with the style. If you tie the bow looser, it can be a true 31. Just buttoned, the shorts are 18.5 inches at the button (my belly button). In the pictures, I'm wearing it tied so it's 15'' across.
