ABOUT PARAGON
The Paragon China Company was a British manufacturer of fine bone china from 1919 to 1960 known for producing high quality Tea-ware and tableware, and was granted royal warrants by several members of the British Royal Family. The Paragon name was discontinued in 1992 and although some patterns remain in production under the Royal Albert name - this was also discontinued by Royal Doulton.
This lovely pairing was by Royal Appointment of Queen Elizabeth and her mother-in-law Queen Mary. The warrant issued for this set was done around the 1940's, as King George VI and Queen Elizabeth reigned from 1936 to 1952 and Queen Mary passed away in 1953 making the occurrence of this particular appointment approximately 1940's.
This very rare set is in magnificent condition! The gentle scalloping on the edges along with the soft cream coloring is accented with beautiful gold that only brings out the true beauty of the floral bouquets make them a true work of art!
