🌞Fabulous authentic vintage handpainted ceramic coconut mugs in the Tiki-Polynesian style, believed to be from the 1950s to 1970s. In 1937, Victor Bergeron, later known as Trader Vic, transformed a modest bar into the tiki den known as Trader Vic’s, a moniker that came from Bergeron’s habit of exchanging drinks and food for flotsam and jetsam that guests brought in which he used to decorate the bar. Bergeron’s most famous credited creation is the Mai Tai. Each of these mugs is different, with variations in texture, size, shape and color so look carefully at the pictures. No chips or cracks but crackling on inside glaze and signs of wear consistent with use and age. Rare to find set of 6.
