Pat Areias Sterling Silver Southwestern Belt Buckle, 30” Black Lizard Belt Strap

Pat Areias - Rare and unique Sterling Silver Southwestern Buckle, 3-piece set, with a 30” Black Lizard Leather Belt Strap. Year of origin unknown but believed to be vintage. The main star is the belt buckle. Handmade silver buckle with a handmade cut-out profile stands out from its oxidized background. Pat Areias prices out her hand rendered belt buckles separate from her leather belt straps when selling them. Her website explains, "using a jewelry saw, buckles are cut by hand out of sheet silver and hand forged, then dapped and individually chased and soldered to produce her finished works." The frame, prong, and loop have been removed for a gentle cleaning with silver polish with the intent of leaving some of the natural wear and patina of the piece intact while cleaning the silver part itself. Leather has been lightly conditioned w/ Obenauf's. - Sterling silver frame, loop, and tip marked 925 as sterling silver and artist mark - Lizard belt strap is marked with the artist's mark as well as the size 30, Genuine Lizard, and Made in USA - Strap is approximately 1" wide - Gold tone design on the buckle parts Preowned and exquisite.
