Patagonia vintage 1980's XL navy pile jacket with big tag

This is a rare unicorn these days.. a vintage 1980's polyester pile zip up jacket complete with vintage Campmor zipper pull! I guess I'm dating myself a little by saying I actually bought one of these jackets new in the mid 80's! 😆 This jacket has the hallmarks of being someone's "go to" coat, but doesn't have a huge amount of wear, like holes in the elbows, grease stains, and major pilling, though it does have a little. It's is in good, useable shape aside from a couple tiny areas.. someone who didn't know how to use a needle and thread glued the bottom of the zipper (which works) back to the coat to repair it. It works great, but has dried glue in that little area. They also did a little glueing at the base of the collar near the shoulder seam. That same collar seam has a little wear to it if you look closely at the photos. I washed this jacket to test it and it stayed glued just fine! 🤣 There are a couple little tiny spots of something white.. guessing it's paint splatter. The elbow area has wear "crinkles" and the pile on the inside is compressed a bit. For a 40 year old coat, it's really held it's shape well. This attests to the fact that vintage Patagonia as well as most of the the new stuff wears like iron and is hard to destroy.
