Pathways To Poetry Grades 4-6 Writers Phylliss J. Adam’s and Ellen L.Kronowitz wrote a book about teaching 4th through 6th graders how to learn and grow in reading and writing poetry. Book divided into 5 themes: 1-Woes and worries 2-Sports and Spunk 3-Laugher and Language 4-Bees and Bugs 5-Patterns and Pictures Each theme includes 5 poems or sets of poems and a suggested book section at the end of each theme to extend and enrich the theme. Pathways was written to help classroom teachers use thematically -grouped poems across the curriculum and consequently enhance student’s love and enjoyment of poetry, while promoting the student’s literacy development. The poetry themes and the teaching plans provided for each poem offer a variety of activities for integrating your curriculum through poetry. Inside of book in excellent condition. No writing or marks in it. Never used. Outside front and back covers have bents and wear from various packing and unpacking in moves. Book never used because I was assigned to 8th graders.
