Self-taught jewelry designer Patricia Locke retired in May 2023 after 45 years of creating handmade jewelry near Chicago, IL. She is known for her use of Austrian crystals and asymmetrical designs. She was inspired by global travel, archaeology, astronomy and architecture. Collectors enjoy the timeless, feminine and unique style of Locke jewelry. This gold over pewter chain link necklace is reversible with a toggle clasp. Each of the seven charms has individual designs on one side and Austrian crystals (one with Tiger's Eye) on the other. To me the designs look similar to hieroglyphics and they invoke a sense of wonder and curiosity. The crystals are in differing shapes and colors enhancing the visual eye candy. In great condition with minimal gold wear.
