dnacht Are you certain it's a crack? If it's just crazed it'll be fine. Also it's a boulder opal so it should be pretty stable, IMO, compared to a regular opal. If it's just on the top it can literally be refinished inside the setting. There are never guarantees with opals but it wouldn't surprise me if it is stable that you'd be able to fix it. FYI! (I work with Aussie Opals and am a cutter)
