I love the warm and gentle expression on the face of “The Orange Lady.” This Leslie Harradine design, HN1759, for Royal Doulton was first made in 1936, and discontinued in 1975. This an early one, I believe from the 1940s since it was a childhood gift to my mother. Hand-numbered and initialed. We’re downsizing and have to let it go, hopefully to someone who will love her!🥰. Can’t find any flaws or signs of repair; has been displayed on shelves & closed cabinets so some signs on base. No box.

She is beautiful, and does reflect a peaceful demeanor. I have just undergone the downsizing. Some pain letting go, but less to dust on the other end 🤗
