Peacock Shaddy Chokin Art Collectible Plate 18kt Gold

This vintage collector's plate is in very good condition! Unique and elegant, this plate features white china edged in 24K gold with an engraved metal centerpiece adorned with two peacocks perched amongst beautiful flowers. Chokin art has a long-standing history in Japanese culture. During the 12th century, Japanese Chokin artists used this art to decorate the armor, weapons, and other military supplies of notable samurai. This piece measures 8 1/4" in diameter. Some very minor wear due to its vintage age.
