karinasthreads I was always told something similar. When you put a purse away at the end of the season or until the next dressy event always leave a penny in it as a promise you haven’t forgotten it. I’ve sold a few as well and they always have one in the pocket. So far, only one recipient noticed and commented on it that she too had heard about this lore. Happy Poshing!

Somehow I knew I was going to have a great day. Now that she has passed, I find pennies everywhere. When I sell a purse or wallet I always include a penny to pass on her tradition. ♥️💋♥️💋.

theposhybeehive I do this!!!! ❤️❤️❤️. I have always heard it is bad luck to hand off a wallet, purse, coin purse etc without giving something inside!! Sometimes I will leave a dollar in there so they don’t miss it!! 🌸 I am so glad I am not the only one who knows this!!!

katherinethe910 I absolutely love that you put this up here. I do the same. Each purchase of a purse or wallet (or gift) also receives a penny and I include why in my thank you cards. This tradition was passed down from my mother as well and I received the bag addiction I have from her too. 😉💗👜
