In Greek Mythology the Goddess of Springtime, Persephone, was kidnapped by Hades, God of the Underworld. When she was in the Underworld, Persephone ate six pomegranate seeds, which tied her to Hades. Because of this, Persephone had to spend six months of the year down in the underworld. Besides being a symbol of the Goddess Persephone, the pomegranate is a symbol of fertility and fidelity, and was also the crest of the great Katherine of Aragon. Celebrate the Goddess Persephone, with these dainty handmade pomegranate earrings!
These unisex earrings feature golden huggie hoops as their base that are approximately 9 mm in diameter. A charm of a gold pomegranate with sparkling red cubic zirconia seeds dangles from each of the gold hoops. These earrings are dainty and lightweight, have been newly handmade just for you, and are about 20 mm long by 8 mm wide.
