In Greek Mythology the Goddess of Springtime, Persephone, was kidnapped by Hades, God of the Underworld. When she was in the Underworld, Persephone ate six pomegranate seeds, which tied her to Hades. Because of this, Persephone had to spend six months of the year down in the underworld. Besides being a symbol of the Goddess Persephone, the pomegranate is a symbol of fertility and fidelity, and was also the crest of the great Katherine of Aragon. Celebrate the Goddess Persephone, with this handmade double layer pomegranate and pomegranate seed charm necklace!
The first layer of this necklace features a small 24 ct. gold plated brass pomegranate charm with micro pave sparkling red cubic zirconia at its center that measures 13.2 mm long. To each side are 3 dark red resin pomegranate seed charms that each measure 18 mm long. The second layer has a1 inch long pomegranate pendant with red seeds on a golden chain. This elegantly understated necklace has been newly handmade just for you, the first layer is adjustable from 16.25 to 22.75 inches, the second layer from 20.5 to 26.75 inches (either layer can be made shorter or longer upon request), from a smoke/pet free home.
