I got this idea from another Posher @bouncinghigher. It is just a place for people to share what really bugs them about Poshmark and tell about their experiences. My hope is that other users will feel better after venting and maybe we will all learn something about interacting on Posh. Please don't name specific users as this is sure to cause hurt feelings and drama, which is not my intention. I kinda started by listing one of my pet peeves and my closet rules. Enjoy letting it all out!

kait624 Sorry I wasnt ignoring u...I just cant be on my phone at work and I work the 2pm-10pm shift as a CNA at the long term care. It was a long night!!! Im beat lol. A few years ago I used to do this for 12 hour shifts!!! Dont thinj I would survive those anymore lol. But yes I just wanna say when I take the time to lower a price and make a seperate bundle listing and then get asked if I can hold for X amount of days...its just very inconsiderate to not purchase after the seller went to all the trouble for u. Thats why I know will only do holds or a price change for a 24 hr period...no exeptions! But then again if Im gonna lower that price u better buy cuz its not like I can really raise it back up and not have people see that I lowered it once already in the comments. Ya know?

I mean c'mon we are all selling stuff for wayyy cheaper...this is NOT a flea market or a garage sale. Have some respect and common courtesy! alwtober @kait624 Thanks for being the first person to post. Hopefully, others will follow. I completely agree with you by the way. It's so frustrating to waste time for someone and then they don't buy and some don't even respond to say why they won't or can't buy. Low balling is also a big problem. I don't think some people realize if you sell something for five dollars you only get two dollars after the posh fee. Thanks again for getting this started. Also, what do you think of the listing? Wanted to make sure it will encourage people to share .

keriskloset I have something to vent about! Here goes... On August 29th somebody purchased a Bebe blouse from me. I shipped it the next day, August 30th. It was delivered on September 2nd but for whatever reason the carrier didn't leave it with them and left a slip letting them know they had a package for pickup at the post office. So I wait... and wait.. and wait... after 5 days I reached out to the buyer asking if they have picked up their top. They let me know they got the FINAL notice and will try to pick it up... this was 3 days ago. So I emailed PM letting them know about the situation. After emailing them TWICE because I did not get a reply the first time (I waited 2 days). After 4 days they respond and say they will email the buyer and let them know their item was at the post office to be picked up. Like really?! They already know that! So here we are... 9 days after delivery and I still have not been paid. The buyer has not picked up the blouse. I have neither my item or my money. PM needs to step in and do something because this situation is just getting ridiculous and they have been of no help. Ugh, theres my vent!

alwtober @keriskloset I thought after three days they would pay you automatically even if the buyer didn't didn't release payment.. Keep me informed. This sounds like something Poshmark should definitely take care of. Sorry that happened. And why would somebody pay for something and then not even pick it up. Poshmark already has their money even though you don't. I also know if the post office has it after a certain amount of delivery attempts they will return it to you. So, if nothing else you'll get your item back. But, that's not very helpful since you already paid the Poshmark fee for selling it. Again, I hope Poshmark works that out for you. I hope having a place to vent at least made you feel a little better. That's what this listing is for. 😕😯💞

alwtober @keriskloset I agree. Very obnoxious. It's kind of like a loophole. There should be some kind of rule for that too. The buyer is delaying your payment. Not that it does them any good, since the money was already taken from their account. As you said obnoxious. I assume you won't be doing any more business with that buyer. 😜

alwtober Okay - so another pet peeve of mine is people selling baby/toddler clothes on this site. I have tons of kids clothes to sell, but they have other sites for that. And when I find the one with the best reviews I will be listing them THERE! This is a site for women's/juniors clothing. There are plenty of other places to sell other things. While I'm at it, this is also not the place to promote another site, business, etc. I get enough spam though email that I don't want to see it here. Ugh!

keriskloset Aw your so sweet. I couldn't agree more with people selling items that are not allowed. Baby clothing is super annoying but random items (like baking pans, toys, cell phone cases etc...) bug me more! Im hoping there comes a day when PM pulls all of those listings. When I come across random items... Like baking pans... I report the listing for "item not allowed". Yet I have never seen ANY of those reported listings get pulled from the site. I feel like its a pointless feature and I even wonder why I bother reporting because it's not like anything will be done about it.

alwtober I do the same thing.... I report them for "item not allowed". Then next time I'm searching for something there they are again. I think I need to contact PoshMark headquarters and see if they need help with making their site compliant. I think we would do an excellent job of getting ridding of items that are "inspired", sold off site, and the ones that are just not allowed to be sold on the site. I would love to get paid to do that all day. LOL

alwtober @kait624 You'll probably be seeing a lot more of me on Poshmark since I lost my job on Friday. It was a temporary position that could've turned into a permanent position, but ended rather abruptly Friday right before lunch. I'm quite sure it had something to do with our new office manager. Long story. But, hopefully I will have the time to get more things uploaded onto Poshmark since I definitely will be needing the money until I find something else. LOL I am definitely enjoying the items I purchased from you. But, will probably not be doing much purchasing in the near future. Thanks so much for asking about me. Hopefully, I'll hear back from them, or I may have a temporary assignment through the temp agency I use. I purchased four tops, a pair of Capri leggings, and another pair of short leggings all for $18. 👚👕🎽👚👖👖😄

Each time I think I can't see anything worse, something like this pops up. I find it very interesting that co-hosts, suggested users, etc. are some of the ones not following Poshmark rules. SMH

alwtober I ran across a listing earlier where a person had been asked 10 times in the same listing whether they would trade. Each time they were very polite in responding that they did not trade. They also had several people who asked for lower prices which were agreed to by the buyer and then never purchased. aPlease read the comments before you post your comment. I am really not sure how this person kept their cool about the trading questions or just started ignoring the people. Kudos to her!

kait624 Ok here it goes.... To begin with I traded some ear guages to a girl...not a big loss of money for me since I got a crappy item in return. But thats not the point of the matter. The poiny was that the VS yoga pants were crappy that she sent me. She told me about a small stain on the knee...no big deal. Little did I know they were faded as crap, have a hole in the butt and along the waist. So they are pretty much trash! Grrrrr! Next thing is that I sent a shirt to a girl...and I took some major time on it. I wrapped it up in tissue paper and tied a pretty ribbon around it. Put in my thank u note and a free gift like I always do. She gave me 5 stars which is great but not a single comment or thank u was ever received on the comments or on the listing. How frickin rude?! I took a lot of time and energy on that package! And the last thing is...I received a package today from poshmark. Luckily I love the shoes but in the thank u note she promoted other users closets. It said something along the lines of thanks for the purchase blah blah blah and then check out so and so's closet and this closet...and put their usernames. Really?! Am I just in a crappy mood today or does anyone else think thats ridiculous too? I almost called her out on it but decided not to stir the pot. Just gave her 5 stars and didnt say anything else. Would I be in the wrong if I did say something? ALL of this just occurred today! Ugh!

alwtober @kait624 Oops. I hit post too soon. I would not say anything until you sleep on it. I found that's the best way to handle things. Usually it doesn't look so bad in the morning. I had someone buy an item from me that I also wrapped very nicely, put my usual thank you note, and the product was never worn with tags and in the original box. Anyway, after she received it she gave me a four star rating with no comment. I asked her was everything to her liking. And she responded yes that she loved it. No explanation as to why I didn't get the five star rating. I think if the purchase is as described, packaged nicely, and sent in a timely manner it deserves a five star rating. Others, on the other hand, don't think many things deserve a five star rating. I'm sure it's nothing personal, and you'll feel better tomorrow I hope. Chin up! 🎀😊💞🎀

alwtober @kait624 Unfortunately I had to take the issue to Poshmark. They said they can't even delete comments. They saw the lies, bullying, and name-calling, etc. that were on our my listings and told me I would just have to relist them all. Sometimes they're not a lot of help. LOL

alwtober @kait624 Fortunately most people realized that she was the one that was being rude and immature. I assume you read the posts. She was just saying things to hurt my feelings. There was no fact-based information on her posts. By not responding to her I didn't give her what she wanted. Which was just a rise out of me. Anyway, I'm glad it's all over with. And I'm relisting all my post anyways so any of those comments that are still there will be gone soon. Anyway, I have spent about eight hours doing Poshmark stuff today. I think I'm calling it a day. I have so much to post it is so tempting, but I have to get some sleep. LOL

alwtober @kait624 OMG! So sorry to hear that. I'm having different problems. I have a 14-year-old daughter... They are just like we were when we were younger only it starts earlier. She has said some things to me that would've had my mom slapping my face. But, you can't do that these days. I'm very lucky that she's a good student, but, she's very smart mouth and often unappreciative. I think their words can hurt you more than any physical harm. Anyway, boys are a whole different story. And alternative schools sometimes only makes them worse. I hope it helps instead. Yikes! Kids are the best things in your life, but, can sometimes make life so difficult. Love my girls and think I got lucky with my 12 year old, so far that is. LOL

elvscrzy @alwtober 🍁GM - I noticed that you had a 'rant' page so I thought I would tell you about a situation that just happened to me this past weekend. I hope you don't mind. I sold an item, received a 5 star rating & all was well w/the sale, etc. Within a day I noticed they had posted for sale in their closet the item they just bought from me. That is fine as I've seen poshers re-posh items in their own closets. However, in this instance they have used all my pictures in their listing. I wasn't asked if they could use them nor did I give my permission. In my opinion this is unprofessional and very discourteous. I would never do this due to infringement - type issues. Have you heard of or ran across this type of situation?

alwtober @elvscrzy First of all you don't have to ask if I mind if you post things like this. That's what I put this listing here for. 😀 So, I'm glad you posted. I know people resell items they've bought usually because they don't fit or some other reason. Anyway, I really haven't come across this. Usually the person who is reselling asks for permission before they use the pictures. I agree that it's very disrespectful not to do that especially since you took the time to to make the pictures . That is time you put in and should be respected. Anything that I have listed to resell, which has only been two items that didn't fit me, I've taken my own pictures for. I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about it. But, I would send an email to Poshmark if you feel like it's worth it. I hope that getting it out on this post may help and also my advice to people is usually to sleep on it and then decide whether it's something you want to follow up on. I had another Posher come to me about something upsetting that she was going to make a comment about and I told her to sleep on it and in the morning she was not as upset and did not make the comment. I see a lot of things on Poshmark that upset me. But, instead I come here and get it out instead of commenting. I had some problems which is too long of a story to get into. But, I had to contact Poshmark several times and hopefully they will change this soon, but, the Posher nor Poshmark can delete comments. So, that's something to think about too. If you make a comment about her using the pictures it will be there forever for other possible Buyers to see. In your situation I would think on it and if you still feel strongly that you want to do something I would send an email to Poshmark customer support. I'm not sure they can do anything since, again, I'm not sure if it's against the rules although it should be. I completely agree with you that it is bad manners and discourteous not to ask. I hope having a place to vent helped you and you're welcome to vent here anytime. Let me know how things turn out. 🎀💕🎀

elvscrzy @alwtober Thank you for your response. I appreciate your suggestions. Fortunately I did sleep on it last night & though the frustration level wasn't as bad this morning, it does really annoy me that someone would do that and not ask if it's ok. And she didn't just use 1 of my pictures, she used all 4!! I'm not really inclined to email Poshmark as I'm not sure they could or would address it. So far I haven't commented about it on her listing but another posher did tag me & ask if the photos were mine. She responded 'Lol yes......' then went on to say she had bought it from me but thought the item was a bit larger than it was. So I take that to mean she sees nothing wrong with using someone else's pictures in her listing. Overall Poshmark has been an awesome experience & I really enjoy it. It just seems like when a bad experience occurs, it's soooo frustrating! Just like this one sided rating system. But that's another rant! :) Thanks for letting me vent. :)

Based upon her number of followers & following, I'd say she's new to Posh, and she had no listings till this one. Although for me, even that doesn't over rule basic courtesy & common sense. It is what it is & it abounds everywhere, certainly not just on Posh. I really appreciate you taking the time to kick it around with me. I do feel better. 😄

Some people just lack courtesy and common sense, but, if she is new she will soon find out that the best people in the community are not like that. Hopefully someone will take her under their wing so to speak and give her good advice. I have done this for A few new users. I enjoy it and now as a suggested user I think that it's part of that title even though that's what I was already doing. Anyway, glad you felt comfortable venting since that is why I put the listing there. I know that sometimes just getting it off your chest makes you feel better. alwtober @chicaccessories if the buyer doesn't have a place for feedback in her closet yet, I would make a comments and feedback listing in your closet. In the description just say that it's for feedback for you and from you. Then when you're done with your listing make a comment about what a good experience you had with her and tag her in it. Then share the listing. If she already has a listing for feedback, just leave a comment under her listing. Please let me know if that wasn't clear or if you have any other questions. alwtober @chicaccessories No problem. Glad I could help. Even though I haven't made a ton of sales, I've been on here for a while. And I'm a suggested user which means that they noticed I follow all of the posh rules, and in part also means that they've noticed I'm willing to give advice and help others. So, feel free to ask about anything you need help with. Also, if you look at your closet stats, her rating should make you a top-rated seller at this point and depending on how long it took you to ship you could be noted as a fast shipper. Also, you can take a screenshot of the rating you got from her and post it in a listing. I usually use one of the editing apps and make sure that the username is not there unless you ask them if you can post their rating. I will tag you in my listing where I did this. Again, let me know if you need any more advice or help. I do enjoy helping new users. 🎀😘🎀

julbecool I have a couple from poshers on total opposite ends of the spectrum. One, since this new offer button, I've had three people leave me the most ridiculous offers. The last one was today-offered me $3 for $1O ITEM I'VE ALREADY REDUCED. What makes them think i would take my time and use my tissue paper, tape, card, ink and paper, as well as my gas caring it to the past office. So I've already got about $1 into the sale. (if i don't throw in the free gift that i usually add to my packages) and take up 15-3O min of my precious time for one freaking nickel!!!!! After the day i had i check my phone to find this offer and did a search for pet peeves. Found you, Allison, on there and saw i was already fol lowing you, then clicked on your page and found this posting. I am pretty new on posh and trying to learn add much as i can. Also, everything I'm reading keeps talking about sharing, giving back and helping newer women on here. So i have researched and searched and found petiole with a kabillion followers and beautiful closets and i have asked those fabulous ladies who are always hosting parties and getting oodles and Gobs of host picks for words of wisdom, advice and general help for a newbie. Many have been very kind and have helped me immensely on posh rules, styling, etc. I have even begin to make a few posh friends, but several of those women won't even respond to me. One i even contacted 2 or 3 times. She seems to have time to host a party every other night, but can't take the time for even a short comment to a pion like me!

julbecool And i saw one host that stated that she won't pick anyone for a host pick who doesn't follow posh rules, pipi, etc., but includes ladies that trade. And even states no trading allowed on posh. Did i miss something, or is this a firm rule that posh had added. I'm not big on trading, but for long-term poshers, pish friends, etc. I know it's not recommended, but i though we just mark items to $3 and posh still gets our money and it is still a posh transaction. Am i wrong? The hosy had not many more followers than i have who posted this.????

alwtober @julbecool I'm very glad you found my listing. And I am on also very sorry that you're having the issues you are having. People will make ridiculous offers like the three dollar offer you got earlier, just hoping that a person will say yes (not that I know anybody who would, LOL). Nobody actually sells anything for three dollars unless it's part of a bundle sale. And, in this case, I would decline the offer and block the user. You don't need that person and other people like her following you. As for the cohost, I know some of them are very busy with doing their host picks, and as you can imagine it probably takes a lot of time. But, I still think they should've gotten back to you. It's other people who have gotten them to the position where they are able to cohost parties. So, they shouldn't forget about the so-called little people. I think and hope that you'll find that it's rare that the cohosts don't respond. Unfortunately, it sounds like today you've just experienced a couple of bad things in a very short amount of time. Once you have established some posh friends, generally they are always there to help when they can. I have a group of ladies like that, but, it's taken me a while to establish the relationships. As far as trading goes, Poshmark does not promote it but also doesn't disallow it. They say it is on the "honor system". So, if you decide to trade, you are taking the risk. I personally do not trade, and others may have no trading in their closet listings somewhere. This is something you'll have to decide for yourself. But, again, I don't trade and don't recommend it unless it's someone you have and are following closely. I always tell people when they come to this listing that they should sleep on it and see how they feel in the morning. Usually by the next day and after venting on here, they're not quite as upset. That is one of the big reasons I put this listing here. Again, it's unfortunate that you had to have both of these bad experiences in a short period of time today. Hopefully you'll start to have better experiences here. There are a lot of great ladies on the site. Please know that I am here if you have any other questions, need any advice, or just want to vent. For the most part i have had wonderful experiences and meet some fabulous women. chicaccessories @julbecool @alwtober Julbecool, sorry you are having such a touch time. As Allison recommended sleep on things and you usually feel better about them. I usually try to keep things in perspective. As for these lowball and rude offers I just respond to all of them that I am unable to accept the offer. I always keep it friendly and nice as they may come to their senses and be a customer one day. Even though these offers upset me I take the perspective that it is their right to quote ridiculous offers as it is my right to refuse. Politely reject the offer and move on. My attitude is if I want to give away my products I can easily donate them to my church. As for your other peeves, take the same attitude. Some people we meet are amazing and helpful and others are not. Be grateful for the former and avoid the latter. Do not let others ruin your mood. Keep a positive attitude, vent when you need to 😉 Hope my rant helps. Stay strong and keep a Posh attitude. 💝💐🌷

I've grown so tired of finding not only children's clothes but toys, housewares, electronics, etc. also in so many listings. Even more bothersome is that these people are selling these items and probably making more than most do. While these items are not allowed, and if the closet has tons of them I report them, Poshmark does not seem to get around to taking the listings down. Also, I feel the people that are buying them on the site should be held accountable. If people weren't buying these items people would not continue to list them. I hope Poshmark finds a resolution to this soon. Sometimes instead of doing a search, I like to browse people's closets. The listings for not allowed items just deters me from buying from that person. Anyway, the problem seems to be growing or I have just come across more incidences of it lately. I guess since I've been having a hard time getting my sales started back up like I know some others have, I find it even more annoying since people are buying items from here that aren't even supposed to be listed. I don't go looking for people who have kids clothes, housewares, electronics, etc. just to report them, but as I said, if I come across a closet that has items that aren't supposed to be there and usually if they have one they have lots of them, I will report the person. For those of you who feel uncomfortable reporting people, it's anonymous and that's why they put the report feature there. Anyway, done with my vent for the day. Ugh! crazyw5 I feel totally different about the situation I feel that poshmark, if they really wanted these listen to be gone they would be gone. they make a lot of money on these listings I do not think that any of these listings take away from my sales as people that are wanting an electronic are not gonna shop for boots. Some don't know the rules I surely didn't when I started. I know a couple of great ladies That do not abide by all the rules one of them is a college student one is a widow. They literally relay on a few sells to buy necessities I feel it is not my place to report people when I don't know their circumstances. Sales come and go, share share and share again, and posh love to all. 😘😘

alwtober Help! I think my report button is broken. LOL Seriously though, I do not go looking for closets with unsupported items just to report them. But, when someone follows me and I go to decide whether I'm going to follow them back if I find that more than half and closer to 75% of their closet are unsupported items, usually children's clothes, I do report them. I have reported one user several times in the past four weeks. This user has well over 50 items that are unsupported by Poshmark. And, I took the time to report all of them so that the moderators would know that it wasn't just a few items. This has also happened with three or four other users. I'm so frustrated that these people are selling these items while the rest of us are following the rules and not making as many sales. I have a lot of children's clothing that my daughters have grown out of that I could post here, but, it's against the rules. These items are not that hard to find. And, I'm not sure if Poshmark is understaffed or if they just don't care because they're getting their fees. This continues to happen and frustrates me every time I see it. Just wondering if anyone else has come across closets like this and have reported them only to have nothing happen? Just so frustrated and needed to vent. Thanks for reading. 😖👹😤

hazeldreams So this is a vent/question I'm a pretty new seller and I fallow the rules and try to be fair with my prices. I keep getting "what is the lowest you will take for this" or or people asking half price if they bundle to items. When I try to negotiate with them they don't respond at all. Am I wrong in thinking that's rude? how should I handle such people? I want to accommodate people and make my first sale but I'm not sure where to draw the line. alwtober @hazeldreams If they are making an offer on one item. Just nicely tell them that they need to use the offer feature. If they are trying to get bundles at ridiculous prices, make sure you add up what the list prices are and point out the percentage discount they're already getting. Some people will ask you to bundle or lower prices and then disappear. It's just a fact. Although it's very rude. Remember about the offer button for single items. The bundles are more complicated, but would point out the percentage off they're getting. Don't have much more advice. Maybe others will. Some people just want to get such a low price that it's almost not worth selling. To those people I would just decline their offers. It does get frustrating sometimes. Good Luck!

What kind of stuff are you looking for?? @kait624 - my son goes to a special needs private school for kids with emotional and behavioral disabilities and autism. What kind of school is your son going to go to?? He used to go to school with Alison's daughter ( not the 14 yr old but a 12 yr old) but couldn't handle public school at all. This post is fun to read. I have actually had mostly good experiences on here. I did "report" a closet that was all men's clothes - someone actually promoted it on my closet as proud of her son for selling his own clothes- and another closet for selling sex toys. I'm no prude but didn't need to see that on here!! Lol.

tracysg @kait624 oh Kaitlyn good luck to your boy tomorrow. My son has diagnoses of ADHD, mood disorder (bipolar), anxiety disorder, and PDD. Plus learning issues and sensory issues. Since he started at the private school it's been much better. I hope you find that as well. I just read your profile listing - bless you for doing this on your own. I get so upset when I sell a perfect item, shipped it out the same day, thanked them for the purchase right away, let them know when I shipped it etc......and then I get a response back that they " love it"'and then give me a 4...,,,,,,, AND this NEVER happens when they have their own closet....just shoppers....even though I have a 4.9 I could have a 5 if it wasn't for 6 shoppers.......I have over 200 ratings and it will take forever to get that 5 thanks for letting me vent!

alwtober @derinda The same thing happened to me. I shipped the item in less than a day, I wrapped it nicely like a gift in colored tissue paper with a thank you note and the item was as described, NWT, but she gave me 4 stars and didn't comment on why in the rating. When she originally received it she commented under the listing that she "loved it". So, I asked if anything was wrong since she only gave me 4 stars, and she responded "everything was great and thank you again so much". So since I asked and she seemed happy, I just let her know that I wanted to make sure my buyers were happy. Still not sure why she didn't give me a 5 star rating?? It is frustrating to not know why. I always give 5 star ratings unless something is wrong. Which fortunately hasn't happened to me yet. I had another buyer give me a 4 star rating but she made a note of why in the rating, she said "the item was more faded than the pictures showed", I commented that I was sorry that the pictures didn't show the wear. I loved it so much I wore it and washed it several times. she said "she would have bought it regardless". So I understand why she gave the item a 4 star rating. I just wish that all buyers would give a reason for not giving an item 5 stars. I am glad you found my venting page. I got the idea from another Posher and it seems to help people to get out their frustration but not to the buyer since that would reflect badly on you as a seller. I think most sellers have probably had someone rate an item with 4 stars so hopefully it won't deter anyone from buying from you. Sorry it took me so long to respond. alliecop120 I really like this idea. I do have to start with the fact that I do not have a closet to sell clothes but I have been one heck of a shopper here. I enjoy looking through all of the items for sell. I have had very good experiences so far and all of the items I have purchased have been what was advertised and have been shipped immediately. I always make sure that I rate and explain my rating. In some of my purchases I have gotten cute little extras and/or a little note. I think that is really cool. My only complaint/vent is with one seller that really bothered me...a pair of sneakers I wanted that she at first was very pushy about selling me. I made an offer for a lower price (and it wasn't that much lower). She did not accept and I told her I understood but of she changes her mind to please let me know and she said "I sure will, hun." 2 days later she sold them to someone else for a much lower price. When I asked why she didn't contact me all I got was "I can sell you something else to make up for the shoes." I guess I am just looking for honesty. Not much of a gripe but I feel better. Keep doing what you all do. This is fun and yea, I'm gonna go broke. :) thanks!

hazeldreams Ok so im a little irritated and could use some advice. I sold an item for $18 less then the original asking price. They wanted $23. they posted listings other then then the item and asked me if i would take other payment which i said no. The listing did not say genuine fur and i had a picture of theminor damage i also asked them if they were awayre of it before i accepted their offer which they said yes. After i shipped it they said on a different listing that they did not kniw it wasnt genuine and they didnt want ut anymire. Now there is a case open with posh about me trying to sell damaged items that are not as described.

alwtober I know that it shouldn't be necessary, but, with all the noncompliant closets these days I wish people would note if they're following all Posh rules. I have over 31K followers (I'm only following close to 4,500) and I feel so bad that I haven't followed people back. But, every time I go to follow people back and see if their closets are compliant before I do so, I find closets that have noncompliant listings and it discourages me. I wish that people would use their profile to put "Posh Rules Only" or something similar. Also, if not in the profile, a listing at the top of the closet would help. I am so behind on following back that it's overwhelming at this point. I read several comments recently where people are upset with those that are not following near as many people as they have following them. I didn't respond to any of these comments because I don't want to get into any drama. just_dandy I follow the rules. I do trade some and I do so LEGITIMATELY through Poshmark. I know it's a personal choice and it's not for everybody...I totally get that. But I have people tell me that they don't trade or condemn me "bc it's against the rules"..well it's not. I am very cautious about and check out the other seller's feedback. I pay the $2.95 charge. I, personally, have had much better trading experiences than buying. But people are telling me that other sellers are telling them that you absolutely can't. That ticks me off. Read Poshmark's rules people!!!

baglady24 Alison, you know full well, because of my recent posting, that I have the same concern. The number of users that follow me greatly outweighs the number I follow for the same reason as you. It is quite distressing the number of users who do not abide by the rules set forth by the makers of this App. I believe it would be a great idea if those in charge could perhaps assign suggested users, or those of their choosing, to weed through and delete listings that violate the rules (or at least suggest that the user remove them). I am currently and painfully going through my list of those I follow to ensure that they follow Posh rules. It is so upsetting that I have to bypass some very lovely closets because of a silly $5 used bra, a bottle of perfume or a baby item. It is a hard decision whether to call them out on these issues without ruffling feathers, therefore, I merely hit the report button and hope that eventually something is done. I, thankfully, have not had anyone harp about my follower to following numbers… so far, however, I would merely respond with a factual statement why I do not...period 😉

mytherapy In addition to not knowingly following non-compliant closets (I say knowingly bc follow games make it hard to screen closets for compliance) I've noticed that when you are in the SU rotation, you get many more followers than you get notifications- in other words, sometimes you get followers that you are not aware of. I've seen my number of followers jump by 350 when I'm on rotation, yet in that time frame I'll only have 150-200 notifications, including shares and comments. So I think that may be why a lot of SU have a discrepancy between followers and following numbers. I've also seen that with some updates, some Poshers entire follower list gets wiped out and they have to start from 0. There's no way to catch up then, esp if they have 30K+ followers!

just_dandy I just bought an item A WEEK AGO and had the send message yesterday to sell to "please ship". Today I get message from them saying "someone must have taken it must cancel so sorry". If you don't know for sure if you have an item please don't list it or mark it as "not for sale". If it's going to take a week to let a buyer know this, the seller shouldn't be on posh in the first place. And posh let them cancel it too. I'm furious that posh is not reprimanding the seller at all.

Nobody made comments specifically to me about my follower to following ratio or I would've addressed it. I saw it on others' listings. I too hate when I have to not follow someone because of a couple of items. But, I don't feel badly about those who are almost only selling non compliant items. @esabellchanel - I also report those listings/Poshers and have gone back after some time to see that they are still selling the same type of items. I agree that the SUs should be able to have some say or ability to get rid of these listings as I am sure Poshmark is very overwhelmed with the amount of things/people reported. @shopforever2014 - The listings of items that are not really available are also more than they should be. I know I posted somewhere that if an item is sold in a bundle or elsewhere that it is important to mark them "not for sale". When I search to buy items, it frustrates me how many items I come across that are no longer available but have not been marked "not for sale ". Thanks to everyone for their feedback. Now I don't feel so bad. I have started numerous times going through my followers list to follow people back and I always end up frustrated with all the non compliant closets before I actually find a closet I can follow. I feel as if I'm wasting my time. I made a comment and change the description of my following game to note that if you're following Poshmark rules and I haven't followed back to please let me know. Hopefully I will be able to follow people back who respond to that. Once again, you ladies have made me feel better and like I'm not alone in my frustration. Although Poshmark can't guarantee any trades and doesn't promote trading, it isn't against the rules and is done at each user's discretion. It is pretty clear if they read the guidelines and other Posh info. Anyone who says it's not allowed hasn't read the rules correctly. So frustrating and I'm glad you decided to post here. just_dandy Thanks for the vent portal! I found out that the seller reported them lost item as "damaged" to posh and cancelled it. I am left with no way to leave feedback or protect any future buyers. I sent an email explaining what happened to posh so they can know what really happened. It was wrong of her to do what she did and she basically lied to posh. We'll see what posh has to say. I have been on this site for a year now and I think she was the first seller I really had a complaint about. Poshmark is a really good site but there is always a few bad apples in every bunch. No escaping that. I think common sense and courtesy go a long way on this site.

alwtober @shopforever2014 There is definitely a lack of common sense and courtesy sometimes. I would definitely pass along your concerns to Poshmark. It is a great site and with the exception of selling non compliant items they are usually very quick to resolve most issues. Good luck with that. I assume there is not a place to put bad feedback because they are afraid some would use it to make others look bad because of their personal differences. I guess it's the same reason we can only see others' "love notes" aka 5 star ratings and not the bad ones. Hope all else is well with you!! 😘😘

tippiejax Hey there, love your post. Completely understand why having it feels like letting off steam. Just wanted you to know I used to have one in my closet. I'm 100% for a listing like this. In my situation, mine blew up like crazy and posh removed it and DINGED me! It was like I was misbehaving for talking about anything that Posh itself was not doing well ( ESP not removing reported items like dog diapers, training toilets, sex toys --YES! When they were reported.) I asked them how I was breaking the rules by simply talking about it, and got some canned response that it wasn't "good for the community". I couldn't believe it. No names were mentioned. They just didn't like it. So I had the mark for 30 days in my closet. Just letting you know 😳. But!!! My biggest peeve lately is lowballs (40-50% lower, just rude) and people who ask me for some very random detail and want an answer immediately. I'm an over-described and use great photos. I told a user I was eating dinner and would get back to her. She wrote again and said, "are you finished?" Once I gave her the info she wanted? Crickets! Not a thanks, nada. Had another one yesterday. I just am not a fan of disrespect & the lack of common courtesy. Thanks for letting me vent!!! 😘

tippiejax @baglady24 I found your comments about followers to following ratio incredible valid. Although I am not a su, I have made many, many sales in a short time. My ratio makes me look bad, but I vet closets. And it's true: very difficult to find clean (completely) closets! One measles bra or perfume is just about what I find each time, too.

alwtober @heathermckay I love the offer button. I just recently made a listing stating that anything under $10 had to be bundled. I got an offer on an item that I had listed for eight dollars and their offer was five dollars. After Poshmark's $2.95 fee I would be making two dollars. It's not worth the packaging and drive to the post office at that point. LOL I certainly don't mind lowering my prices some for a bundle. I'm also not sure what people expect when they ask you "lowest". 😊😘

isntshethrifty I just thought I'd take the chance to vent about my experiences. I had a brand new pair of shoes listed at 80, almost 40 percent off the original price! And someone offered me 40 dollars! I countered with 65 thinking it was a great deal, and they offered 40 again. So i gave it another try and countered with 65 and they offered me 5 dollars! How disrespectful!

isntshethrifty And then, i sold an item, clearly stating and showing pictures of a small stain and said it may need cleaning, but i didn't want to ruin it in the process. A posher bought the item and gave me a two star rating for "a small stain and item cleanliness"! Not every item on here is in pristine condition but if you knowingly buy a used item with flaws it's incredibly rude to criticize the seller who was 100% honest

alwtober I'm not sure when it changed but the 500 character maximum in comments is driving me crazy!! 😤😩 I haven't been able to relay all of my thoughts in the past couple of days without making more than one comment and tagging my PFFs in my next comment as doing it with my message would taker over 500 characters. 😁 I will be emailing Poshmark about it and hopefully if enough people do they might change it back? Any thoughts? 😕

flossidossi2 I am soooo surprised I havent seen any LP for Target rants here.....SMH...Everytime I come across someone selling Waaaaay over the mark Block-I will not do business with those folks...I just feel it is so unethical, and they have no integrity. Marks ups happen, we are all here to shop and to sell. But to take advantage of a deal that was made b/w Target and the LP label ( to be affordable ) is just shameful. alwtober Has anyone else tried to buy something and get unresponsive sellers? I was looking for a watch and "liked" several of them and asked questions. Only about 50% of the sellers responded right away. What's with unresponsive sellers? I have purchased 10 times since finding Poshmark and each time the sellers have been very quick to respond and ship. I also found a lot of unallowed listings during my search. And it wasn't all newbies. SMH Venting helped.

bellanblue i've encountered a few. i just move on. i figure if they don't care enough to reply, they must not really care to sell. i just take my business elsewhre. i try my very best to respond right away to any questions. it's just good customer service. i understand at time life gets busy but not responding at all is a no no.

alwtober @bellanblue Unfortunately two of the items were rather unique and I couldn't buy elsewhere so I just had to be patient. Not my strong suit. LOL I also respond within the first 24 hours or at the most 48 hours. I was at the ER three times within a week a couple of weeks ago for dehydration and I managed to at least keep up with comments although I didn't get to all the sharing. I think most of my PFFs are very responsive like you unfortunately not everyone is. 😕💕😘💕

alwtober @lwschlprncss I hope it all improves too. This is a great place to sell your used items. But, people don't realize there is a commitment that one should make before listing items. Unfortunately I don't think Poshmark has anything listed as far as a rule for how long it should take to get back to people unless I missed it, Which is possible since I don't look at the guidelines much anymore now that I know what is allowed and what's not.. 😕💕😘

alwtober More to my venting. I actually was looking for an item here and was so frustrated by people wanting to actually get all their money back that I went to Amazon to buy it. I got it for $20 less than the lowest item on here and more than $50 less than the highest here.

Most of it is common sense, but as I'm discovering, it is sorely lacking on here.....

The offer feature is the best thing they've done in the past year or so. I wish they would pay more attention to non compliant closets. alwtober @aflattery Ann, I've been fortunate enough that I haven't had more than a few unresponsive buyers. I love the offer feature and wish that everyone would use it. That way negotiations are private. When I buy I usually have to ask for a lower price for a bundle because for the five dollars in shipping I want to get the most out of it and usually find more than one item that I like. 😉

baglady24 My current pet peeve is related to the app itself...I wish there was a "vacation" feature in which you can simply select to place your closet in a "vacation" mode in ONE step. Instead, I must go into each and every listing to change it to "not for sale" then back again. Other Apps have a true vacation mode. Hope Posh incorporates 1 soon.

alwtober @aconroy17 Make sure your items are priced competitively. Search for similar items. Make sure you are sharing to appropriate parties. Follow more suggested users. You can find us on "feed" then click the button in the upper left hand corner. Share others listings and most will share back. I hope some of this helps. I will share some of your items too. alwtober @aconroy17 did you contact customer service? Send them the pics and they will arrange for a refund and your return of the item. I love to give advice but can't help with customer service issues. They are usually pretty prompt in responding. Good luck with your issues. Let me know if you need any more advice.

alwtober @aconroy17 I forgot to ask whether you had accepted delivery of the item you are looking to return. PM doesn't release a seller's funds until acceptance from the buyer. They have been very good with past issues I have had. I was involved in a transaction where my buyer claimed to have found a defect in an item. I had kept my own pictures showing no defect. The issue was resolved in my favor within about 48 hours. With proper pics and documentation your issue should be resolved shortly.

alwtober @aconroy17 Take advantage of the $.99 shipping today and reduce your prices by at least 10% on items anyone has liked. The people who like the item will receive notice about the price drop and reduced shipping today. I just reduced prices in several pieces of jewelry and one sold in less than a minute. Just a thought. Hope you are doing well.

alwtober @aconroy17 Details are at the top of your feed. Basically find the items in your closet others have "liked", reduce those items by at least 10%. The users that liked the item will get an email and news feed item that tells them about the price reduction and also the shipping special. I only reduced about six items by 10% and now two sold within minutes. It's a good deal for buyers! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I sold a pair of new jeans & I always take time to wrap everything nicely w a card & I ship same day. I got a 3 star rating & in the comments she wrote- love the jeans, a little tight but just more incentive to lose weight :) The smiley face @ the end almost upset me more! Three times I have been rated lower and the people comment about my descriptions.Then I go back and check what I wrote and all the information is right there, If you wanted 24K gold then don't buy my listing that says GOLD PLATED.

alwtober @kimgaffen Thanks for commenting. That's frustrating! I have found that if people like an item you have they don't pay too much attention to the ratings as long as they're not all bad.
